Update as of 2/19/2010 - We have raised $2,000 of $4,000 towards the final Regimental Flag.
Flag Preservation - Over the past 3 yrs we have been working to conserve 7 flags carried by the 61st New York. To date we have been able to save 6 of 7. Please see the links below for more information.
We currently have 2 flags currently being preserved. Once they are completed we can share photos of them.
To date we have raised $27,000 to preserve 6 of 7 flags. With one flag remaining, we'll need at least another $4000. In case you haven't heard NY State is going through some budgetary woes and is cutting back funding to the museum. That said we are expecting that cost to increase.
