Hello and welcome to our site! The 61st New York is a group of men and women from the NJ, PA, DE & MD areas. We're involved in battle re-enactments, parades, living histories and school presentations up and down the East coast.
The 61st New York is dedicated to the historic preservation of our country's past. Currently, we are involved in an enormous effort to save the original flags carried by the 61st New York Infantry Regiment.
Our membership strives to bring the past alive and provide people with an understanding of our history. To keep alive the memory of those who gave their last full measure, the 61st New York dedicates itself to complete authenticity in its portrayal of Civil War soldiers from our regiment.
